Renovating 17th century buildings

As complete amaturs we started our project over a year ago and don't really feel an awful lot further on... I don't want to put anyone off there dream of starting a project just don't expect it to be quick, unless you have a team of your own buiders

We're only renovating and extending an unexciting 70s house and it's stressy enough. Have done 3 before (2x Grade 2) but this is the worst, and the last and where we plan to see out the next 20 years! If we make it through the incipient heartattacks threatened every day en route. Gets worse before it gets better. The mud, the rain, the sand. Keep blogging!!

Just saying hi! We missed you at our Welsh/Shropshire lunch on Thursday. Don't know how often you get back but do know you are a friend of bodran's. Hope to get to meet you sometime!

My sister in law is renovating in France, has been for the last six years or so. She doesn't seem much further forward either! It's those elusive builders, plumbers, roofers etc...
